TOOL-LESS GUARD/DEPTH® GAUGE
Provides maximum operator protection by covering all the cutting chain, but allows infinite depth-of-cut adjustments, from zero to eight inches deep, to prevent cutting rafters and supports. Tool-less design allows operator to install, adjust, or remove the Guard/Depth® Gauge quickly and easily, even with gloves on.
BULLET® Chain
The BULLET Chain is the first and only chain designed from the ground up specifically for fire department ventilation, forcible entry, and rescue operations. The BULLET Chain's patented cutter is a solid piece of metal without bends or groundout areas that cause weak points. The carbide insert is formulated specifically for fire department use. The sintered carbide insert creates a larger cutting surface and has a unique sheeting capability to reduce carbide breakage.
The raker gauge is shaped like the nose of a bullet and protects the carbide insert from impact. The gullet is very narrow to stop any possible "hooking", also reducing impact during cutting. Rather than cutting or slicing, the BULLET Chain actually files through a variety of materials. The Cutters Edge Fire Rescue Saw, equipped with the BULLET Chain, was tested for kickback by SMP, The Swedish Testing Institute. Because of the unique cutting action of the BULLET Chain, the test results showed it to have extremely low kickback, in fact, the lowest kickback potential of any chainsaw-style saw.
ONE-PIECE GUIDE BAR
Made from solid, steel alloy material with induction-hardened rails. A larger, integrated, sealed sprocket nose provides faster penetration, outstnading performance and longer life in the toughest cutting conditions. The thicker, one-piece construction cannot spread and eliminates failure due to misalignment.
CHAIN BRAKE
The chain brake stops the rotation of the chain in less than 1/20th of a second. It can be engaged or disengaged manually or, just like the seat belts in a car, the violent action of kickback will activate the inertia chain brake and stop the chain.

Handy, universal tool that's used for all adjustment and maintenance of the Fire Rescue Saw.
FOUR-STAGE FILTRATION SYSTEM
Our externally mounted air filtration system has 211.4 square inches of surface area, enabling Cutters Edge Fire Rescue Saws to run up to 12 times longer than conventional chain saws in the hot, smoky fireground environment. The highly filtered, yet virtually unrestricted, air moves into the carburetor through a metered stack that straightens the airflow and develops a "ram air" effect to increase power.
TOOL-LESS CARBURETOR COMPARTMENT ENTRY
This tool-less opening feature allows fast and easy access for inspection and maintenance of the carburetor and spark plug, while easily snapping back into place.
CUTTERS EDGE ONE-STEP STARTING
This feature includes a momentary contact switch and a combined choke throttle lock to eliminate the possibility of flooding the engine. It takes only one simple step to start the saw.
MOMENTARY CONTACT SWITCH
Our momentary On/Off switch is always in the "On" position for reliable starting and to eliminate the possibility of flooding.
FUEL MIX AND BAR & CHAIN OIL TANKS
These large capacity tanks (Fuel mix: 26.8 oz, Bar & Chain Oil: 14.24 oz) are sized so the saw will run out of fuel mix before running out of bar & chain oil, to prevent the possibility of running the chain without proper lubrication.
FULL-WRAP HANDLE
The Full-Wrap Handle assures safe operation of the saw in any position and acts as a "chain catch" to provide additional protection from contact with the chain.
GUARD DEFLECTOR
The Guard Deflector redirects the airflow around the engine, keeping cutting residue away from the engine. This creates cooler running conditions for peak performance in any fire rescue environment.
COMBINED CHOKE THROTTLE LOCK WITH THROTTLE SAFETY GUARD
With one simple pull, the choke and throttle are set for fast, easy starts.
COMPRESSION RELEASE
The Compression Release button reduces compression inside the engine for easier starting.
2-MASS ANTI-VIBRATION SYSTEM
